Frequently Asked Questions
What does this treatment involve?
A small blood sample is collected from you your provider. The blood is spun and processed. This allows proteins in the blood to be restructured in a more densely organized scaffolding network to help support soft tissue.
What is the treatment like?
The treatment is minimally invasive. After the treatment, you might experience tenderness in the area. The most common side effects are transient, including redness, mild to moderate swelling, and bruising. Most patients tolerate the procedure without any difficulty as we are harnessing your body's own natural components with virtually no chance of rejection or allergic reaction.
How many treatments are required?
The number of treatments is dependent on the patient's individual needs. Typically, 1-2 treatments are required per area. Your providers will discuss your individual concerns and needs and recommend a treatment plan specifically customized for you.
How long do treatment last?
Most practitioners recommend a minimum of 2 treatments, 6-8 weeks apart with repeat sessions every 6-8 months.
What is the difference between Cellenis® Dermal PRP and PRP?
PRP, like Cellenis Derma PRP, is known for its regenerative properties. The Cellenis Derma PRP's proprietary processing can convert your body's proteins into a gel-like structure that can support dermal architecture, it is slowly reabsorbed by the body over a period of 4-6 months. Unlike Cellenis Derma PRP, PRP is quickly absorbed by the body within days.
